Knowledge – The real deal!

Matthew 16:13-17 Now when Jesus had come into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he said, questioning his disciples, Who do men say that the Son of man is?
And they said, Some say, John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
He says to them, But who do you say that I am?
And Simon Peter made answer and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus made answer and said to him, A blessing on you, Simon Bar-jonah: because this knowledge has not come to you from flesh and blood, but from my Father in heaven.

When i was younger I thought I was a Christian. Note the word “thought”. I felt I was a Christian because I was born into a Christian home, attended church services and went to Sunday school. I even prayed, fasted, read my Bible, learnt some Bible verses and on and on. But I missed out something really important. I did not have a personal relationship with God!
Don’t get me wrong here, I was in church! Active to an extent. But, i didn’t establish any space for God to come into my life. I felt service in the Church and all meant I was a Christian. But I was totally wrong. Yes it is right to serve in church, but we need to establish a personal relationship with Christ. I didn’t know that! I had no clue. My life totally changed when I got to know God on a personal level. Remember : I had been in the Church all along.
In the Bible verses above, Jesus asked his disciples who he was to everyone and after they answered him. He asked who they thought he was.
He’s asking you now: Who do you say that I am? Are you serving me based on what people say I am? Or are you serving me because you know me?

Knowledge is power!

Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Hosea 4:6 tells us that people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

You need to know who God is to you! You need to have a stand with God so you won’t fall for just anything.
We need to come into the knowledge of God. Know God personally! It’s not an option.
Ephesians 4:13-15 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
We need to have a personal relationship with God so that we will know that which is right. So we won’t be carried away by different false doctrines.

Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Having knowledge of Christ is great! It’s is a beautiful thing. Knowing how much God loves me makes life easy for me. Knowing that the Redeemer lives makes me happy. Knowing that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me is marvelous.

Philippians 3:8-10 Yes truly, and I am ready to give up all things for the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, which is more than all: for whom I have undergone the loss of all things, and to me they are less than nothing, so that I may have Christ as my reward,
And be seen in him, not having my righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
That I may have knowledge of him, and of the power of his coming back from the dead, and a part with him in his pains, becoming like him in his death;

Trace your steps back, are you a Christian for the right reasons? Do you know God truly?

Just tell God, I want to know you. I want to know more. Help me Lord. He answers prayers! Rely on God!

May God help us all, Amen.

Lukewarmness-Victorious Osilama

We all know to an extent what lukewarm stands for; it’s neither hot nor cold. I have come to realise that most Christians are lukewarm, we specialise so well in the stage of lukewarmness, we want to eat our cake and still have it, we want to be able to serve God and still enjoy our own little pleasures of the world. My dearies, let’s not deceive ourselves, I was once in that stage also, the only thing you do is rob yourself of an amazing relationship with God.

Matt 6:24; No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. It is clearly stated that we only deceive ourselves when we say…I’m a Christian, and I dig Beyonce/Nicki Minaj/Ariana Grande etc. The lives that we emulate and follow says a lot about our standing in God. God’s word will not change for nobody.

Rev 3:16; So then because thou are lukewarm, and neither cold or hot, I will spur thee out of my mouth. I am a chorister and was once a Sunday school teacher in teens church, I loved the word of God and was so excited in getting more ways to do his will in church, but I also looooveeedd demi lovato and I had most of her songs, without me giving it a thought, I was being influenced by what she did, I also loved Kim kardashian, and if possible, I would watch all kuwtk episodes, but little did I know that, I was being influenced by the people I admired from afar, who didn’t even know I exist. That’s how bad I was influenced. To the world, I was living for God and I was acknowledged for it, but to my Creator, I was so far away from him, as much as God loves us, he can’t behold

iniquity, if he could leave Jesus Christ on the cross (his only begotten son), then we are no exception. The truth that people get twisted nowadays is that we are saved by grace.

Grace is not a license to sin (don’t get it twisted), it’s either you are for God or not, I learnt later in life that I was as sinful as a person who was also not called a Christian, it’s not the word (Christian) that makes you saved,

Matt 7:21; Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

It is you keeping the way and will of your Father. God is not a fool, and neither is he ignorant of what we do. Our dressing, attitude, utterance, music we listen to; movies and videos we watch should depict that God lives in us. It’s a whole different ball game entirely… It’s either you are fully for God or not. Serving God is not a

part-time job, its FULL-TIME! ! !.

Greatest lie of all time -Nathaniel Ace

Power and Money are overrated. The educational system has deceived us into thinking all we need in Life can be found on Earth.

I can boldly say that this is a lie, if all we need can be found here, why is it that nobody has ever been completely satisfied before death.

The fact that there is a desire for something, proves that that desire can be satisfied: hunger can be satisfied by food, thirst – water, sickness – cure, tiredness – rest etc. But if we look deep into all of these we can say without doubt that all of the desires of men can only be satisfied temporarily, they can only be subdued until they resurface again and hunt you to feed their ego.

This is because all them are parts of a system creating a symmetry where they all can be satisfied(removed permanently from existence and history) by a single event.

The main Article just started 😁

When mankind(Adam) sinned against God, a separation between God and man was triggered. The separation created a vacancy, gap or hole in our nature and left us living way below our ability, potential and full capacity as humans.

But God had a plan B, He also didn’t want that separation too, he wanted to have a relationship with us, so to bridge the gap the perfect sacrifice had to be made – JESUS.

But many of us don’t know that to fill that space of satisfaction all we need is to walk in line with God’s plan B. So we make the mistake of chasing pleasures that we feel should be enough, but the pleasures only give temporary satisfaction.

The greatest satisfaction we can get on earth is in Jesus Christ, which is why:

1) Jack Nicholson who has slept with over 2,000 women in his lifetime, wasn’t satisfied till death.

2) Sasha Grabow visited over 202 countries, had a taste of nature in many ways, still wanted to visit more.

3) Vladimir Putin at some point was the most powerful man on the planet, still he is chasing a higher level of influence.

4) Bill Gates the current richest man alive is still investing (Microsoft recently bought Nokia)

I can go on and on…

But look at Paul in the Bible, he said “to live is Christ and to die is gain”. He was so satisfied at the point of death, writing letters with joy (2 Timothy 4), only because he lived his life with Jesus the true source of satisfaction.

You may not have all the money, fame, glamour, power but you would still live a life that at your death you can be proud of everything you have accomplished (isn’t this the reason people want to have money and power – so they can be happy, comfortable and at peace). Which obviously they can’t accomplish without Jesus.

This article would be completely useless if I only get thousands of views without changing and inspiring a life to become better, please reflect on this and share to your friends, followers, colleagues, and family members.

“Peace is not the absence of a storm, but peace is the ability to be calm during a storm”. Daniel was at peace, he didn’t even disturb himself.

When faced with difficult situations, how do you react? Fearless or Fearful?
Our Bible hero for this week Daniel has shown us that we have the ability to be fearless. In Daniel chapter 6, King Darius issued an order that no one should pray to any god or man except him for thirty days. And Daniel was a man who understood that the day is incomplete without communication with God. But it was either he prays and then be thrown in the lion’s den or he doesn’t pray for thirty days and live.
People! If it had been you, what would you have chosen? Imagine being torn apart by lions, such a horrific way to die. One thing I respect Daniel for was his ability to choose wisely. He chose life, by praying. It seems like an irony right, since it was pray and be thrown into the den of lions. Daniel even prayed as usual. He didn’t go to any secret place. He prayed as he usually did at the open windows. I once read in a book that “peace is not the absence of a storm, but that peace is the ability to be calm during a storm”. Daniel was at peace, he didn’t even disturb himself. I pray that the peace of the Lord that passes all human understanding would forever be our portion, amen.
Obviously when Daniel’s “haters” saw him praying; they’ll have been really glad because they felt it was all over for him. They didn’t understand the power he had as a son of God over fear. Romans 8:15, a Bible verse I really love tells us that
“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.””
Hello! Do I have your attention, we have the power to be fearless! Hallelujah! Once you confess Jesus Christ as your personal lord and saviour, you’ve said yes to peace and no to fear! You have the authority to call on God when you’re in difficult situations and the power to conquer.
Back to our super hero Daniel. He got arrested and he was thrown into the den of lions. One thing I found really funny was that it was the king that was bothered and disturbed, not Daniel.
Daniel 8:16 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.
The next day, at the first light of dawn, the King rushed to the den and he saw that Daniel was alive. Glory to God! The Bible tells us that our God Almighty neither sleeps nor slumber. God sent his angels to shut the mouth of the lions and Daniel was saved.
Brethren, we all really need to believe. And then we will be more than conquerors.
I dare you to be fearless in all that you do and trust me, you will surely emerge victorious. Don’t forget to share God’s word with everyone you know and also encourage your loved ones to Face Everything And Rise because that’s what fear stands for in Christendom.

A Friend Indeed?

There’s a popular saying that goes “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”. This tells us that the friends we make are also our representatives.
Daniel had the right friends -Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego. They supported him when he made the choice not to defile himself by eating Babylonia food and they also made the same choice. As a friend, you are meant to support your friends and we are also meant to have friends that are supportive.
In Daniel chapter 2, we are told the story of how King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and ordered the execution of all the wise men because none of them could tell him his dream and the explanation. Daniel heard about the issue, went back home and told his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah also known as Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego. We are meant to have friends that we can talk when we have problems. We are meant to be good friends so that our friends can talk to us when they also have problems.
Daniel 2:18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel and his friends prayed together. We are supposed to have friends that can *pray with us *. For a friend to pray with you, it means he or she shares your beliefs as a Christian. We are meant to have friends that are our prayer partners. The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs that as iron sharpens iron, so does a friend sharpens a friend. Its okay to have fun with your friends but if that’s all you do, there’s a problem.
God answered Daniel and his friends prayers and Daniel went ahead to tell Nebuchadnezzar his dream and also the meaning. Nebuchadnezzar was pleased with Daniel and he gave him a high position in the kingdom. At this point, Daniel could have abandoned his friends after all, he had gotten what he desired. But Daniel 2:49 tells us that at Daniel’s request, the King put Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego in charge of the affairs of the province of Babylon. Daniel *remembered* his friends! There are some people who remember others only in times of need and trouble, we Nigerians call those kind of people”use and dump” cause they basically use people to get what they want and then forget them. What kind of friend are you? Are you the “use and dump” kind of friend? Or the Daniel kind of friend?
At the beginning of this article, I said that our friends are our representatives. A very popular Bible story is the story of Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Note that Daniel wasn’t there, but they did the right thing. Imagine how proud Daniel would have felt, I’m sure he’d have been like “Yass, those are my guys😎”. Really, our friends should be people that we can vouch for. And people that can vouch for us also.
Think for a minute about the kind of friend you are and also the kind of friends you have. Pray to God to make you a better friend and also pray for your friends. Choose your friends wisely.
