Words Of Mouth

What if as you speak, the words appear on your skin? Would you look beautiful or ugly?A popular Bible verse says ” Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”. This means that the words we speak matters a lot because they show exactly what we think about. In Matthew 15:17-18, Jesus said :
17 Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man ‘unclean.’
The text above tells us about the gravity of our words. Our words could make us sin, I believe we all know this. It could be a little white lie, or even what we say while joking. When someone provokes you, how do you react? Do you give in to the devil and then rain insults on the person? Of course, we get angry but we also have the power to control our tongue. James chapter 3 tells us a lot about the tongue. The tongue is compared to the rudder of a ship, and we are told that the tongue is a very important part of our bodies.
Proverbs 18:21 says
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
This is so true. We have the power to make positive confessions and also negative ones.
As believers, we are supposed to be different in everything that we do. Our actions and inactions, our speech also should be clean and not vulgar. We are told in Matthew 5:14 that we are the light of the world. Verse 16 of the same chapter instructs us to let our lights shine before men, that they may see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven. Let our words be those of impact. Not just idle words. Kind words could be good deeds also. We could hurt others by the words we speak, I pray that we all learn how to bridle our tongues.
Do this little exercise: Close your eyes and reflect on all what you have said in the past twenty four hours. Are they words that are meaningless or words that are meaningful ? Are they curses or blessings? Are they vain words or words that glorify God?
If incase, any of your previous words fall in the former category, try as much as possible to avoid such words and also apologize to anyone you hurt in the past with your words. When you’re angry and you don’t have any kind words, just keep quiet. Trust me, you would not regret it. And if your previous words fall in the latter category, keep it up. You also wouldn’t regret it.
So let us try to always make positive confessions. May God bless us all abundantly, Amen. Thank you for reading this article. Kindly share with others. Also follow my instagram page @naijachristianteen Thanks 😊

Just let go

Hello beautiful people, here are a few things to always remember.
“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 38:27
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1st Peter 5:7
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46: 10-11
No matter what you’re going through, always remember that nothing is too difficult for God. Do you have any problem? Don’t just talk about it, pray about it also. Tell it to Jesus, he has the solution. God bless you.

FEARLESS!

When faced with difficult situations, how do you react? Fearless or Fearful?
Our Bible hero for this week Daniel has shown us that we have the ability to be fearless. In Daniel chapter 6, King Darius issued an order that no one should pray to any god or man except him for thirty days. And Daniel was a man who understood that the day is incomplete without communication with God. But it was either he prays and then be thrown in the lion’s den or he doesn’t pray for thirty days and live.
People! If it had been you, what would you have chosen? Imagine being torn apart by lions, such a horrific way to die. One thing I respect Daniel for was his ability to choose wisely. He chose life, by praying. It seems like an irony right, since it was pray and be thrown into the den of lions. Daniel even prayed as usual. He didn’t go to any secret place. He prayed as he usually did at the open windows. I once read in a book that “peace is not the absence of a storm, but that peace is the ability to be calm during a storm”. Daniel was at peace, he didn’t even disturb himself. I pray that the peace of the Lord that passes all human understanding would forever be our portion, amen.
Obviously when Daniel’s “haters” saw him praying; they’ll have been really glad because they felt it was all over for him. They didn’t understand the power he had as a son of God over fear. Romans 8:15, a Bible verse I really love tells us that
“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.””
Hello! Do I have your attention, we have the power to be fearless! Hallelujah! Once you confess Jesus Christ as your personal lord and saviour, you’ve said yes to peace and no to fear! You have the authority to call on God when you’re in difficult situations and the power to conquer.
Back to our super hero Daniel. He got arrested and he was thrown into the den of lions. One thing I found really funny was that it was the king that was bothered and disturbed, not Daniel.
Daniel 8:16 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.
The next day, at the first light of dawn, the King rushed to the den and he saw that Daniel was alive. Glory to God! The Bible tells us that our God Almighty neither sleeps nor slumber. God sent his angels to shut the mouth of the lions and Daniel was saved.
Brethren, we all really need to believe. And then we will be more than conquerors.
I dare you to be fearless in all that you do and trust me, you will surely emerge victorious. Don’t forget to share God’s word with everyone you know and also encourage your loved ones to Face Everything And Rise because that’s what fear stands for in Christendom.

A Friend Indeed?

There’s a popular saying that goes “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”. This tells us that the friends we make are also our representatives.
Daniel had the right friends -Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego. They supported him when he made the choice not to defile himself by eating Babylonia food and they also made the same choice. As a friend, you are meant to support your friends and we are also meant to have friends that are supportive.
In Daniel chapter 2, we are told the story of how King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and ordered the execution of all the wise men because none of them could tell him his dream and the explanation. Daniel heard about the issue, went back home and told his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah also known as Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego. We are meant to have friends that we can talk when we have problems. We are meant to be good friends so that our friends can talk to us when they also have problems.
Daniel 2:18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel and his friends prayed together. We are supposed to have friends that can *pray with us *. For a friend to pray with you, it means he or she shares your beliefs as a Christian. We are meant to have friends that are our prayer partners. The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs that as iron sharpens iron, so does a friend sharpens a friend. Its okay to have fun with your friends but if that’s all you do, there’s a problem.
God answered Daniel and his friends prayers and Daniel went ahead to tell Nebuchadnezzar his dream and also the meaning. Nebuchadnezzar was pleased with Daniel and he gave him a high position in the kingdom. At this point, Daniel could have abandoned his friends after all, he had gotten what he desired. But Daniel 2:49 tells us that at Daniel’s request, the King put Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego in charge of the affairs of the province of Babylon. Daniel *remembered*  his friends! There are some people who remember others only in times of need and trouble, we Nigerians call those kind of people”use and dump” cause they basically use people to get what they want and then forget them. What kind of friend are you? Are you the “use and dump” kind of friend? Or the Daniel kind of friend?
At the beginning of this article, I said that our friends are our representatives. A very popular Bible story is the story of Shedrach, Mesach and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Note that Daniel wasn’t there, but they did the right thing. Imagine how proud Daniel would have felt, I’m sure he’d have been like “Yass, those are my guys😎”. Really, our friends should be people that we can vouch for. And people that can vouch for us also.
Think for a minute about the kind of friend you are and also the kind of friends you have. Pray to God to make you a better friend and also pray for your friends. Choose your friends wisely.

First blog post!!!😎

18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The text above is from the book of Matthew, chapter 28. Jesus Christ gave all believers an order to spread the gospel. That’s what I’m trying to do. I am on mission to reach out to everyone including teenagers because I’m a teenager myself.
